Australia: News and Views

Hi my name is Lis Sowerbutts I’ve been a geologist and a computing professional but currently I am trying to make a living on the Internet. Luckily for me I have a supportive partner because this on-line gig is neither quick nor easy to make a living from!

I live in Perth, Australia but I am a New Zealander who was born in England. Multiple passports are very handy and I have travelled to over 55 countries around the world!

In 2007 we rented out our home in Australia, put all our stuff in storage, flew to Queensland, bought a 1985 4WD and tent and drove 35,000km around Australia. I am quite confident that we have seen a great deal more of Australia than most Australians!

The header image is a view of Kings Canyon which is a few hundred kilometers down the road from Uluru (Ayers Rock) and much more spectacular in my opinion. Most tourists miss it, if you are in the area don’t!

I also write Travel For the Over 30 s at Today about - well travel really! I write on anything and everything over at HubPages - a site a recommend for anyone who wants to write more than short blog post.  I also have  my own blog which is more about making passive income.
