Heath Ledger Wins Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor
As speculated Heath Ledger has won the Golden Globe in tonight’s ceremony, for the Best Supporting Actor! Bittersweet but well-deserved for his role as The Joker in the movie The Dark Night.
The Australian actor has always been hugely popular in his home country but the press has never let up on his family since the Heath Ledger’s untimely, accidental death. There has been huge speculation as to whether there was going to be a bitter dispute over who should inherit his fortune - but recently it was announced publically that, despite his out of date will leaving most of his inheritance to his parents and siblings, Heath Ledger’s fortune will go to his little daughter - a refreshingly simple approach to the obvious, but not legal rights of the matter.
Meanwhile Heath Ledger’s US insurance company is still trying to get another investigation into his death - to avoid paying out his life insurance - a coroner has ruled that Heath Ledger died accidentally what more can you possibly need : that’s caled a death certificate arseholes - a least I think in Austalia insurance companies have to accept the coroners findings.
The Golden Globes are seen as precursors to the Oscars, but only 60 members vote on the results compared to the nearly 6000 members of the Academy - so the results in reality can be hard to predict. Im glad they got this one right though and Heath Ledger got the Golden Globe for best supporting actor.
